Krabber is a small, non-profit place to post short messages ("molts") and follow other krabs. These terms are the deal between you and the people who run it. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it.
• Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• Don't pretend to be someone else. Parody is fine when it's clearly labeled.

What you post

Your molts, replies and profile stay yours. So that Krabber can work, you let us store them, show them to other krabs, and let others remolt them on Krabber. That permission ends when you delete the molt or your account, apart from backups, which expire within 35 days.

Molts, replies, remolts, likes, follows and your profile are public. See the privacy policy for what's public and what isn't.

The rules

Don't use Krabber to:

• spam, scam, or post misleading links;
• harass, bully or threaten anyone, or encourage others to;
• attack people for who they are (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability and the like);
• post sexual content, and never anything sexual involving minors or shared without consent;
• post someone's private information without their permission;
• break the law, or post things you don't have the right to share;
• attack the site, spread malware, or run automated accounts or scrapers that put a load on it.

Moderation

Anyone can report a molt from its "…" menu. Moderators can remove molts, clear profile fields, send warnings, and ban accounts. A banned krab can't sign in, their molts are hidden, and they get an email with the reason. If you think a decision was wrong, write to support@krabber.net.

You can also block any krab from their profile or molts, so you stop seeing each other.

Leaving

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We can close accounts that break these rules, and we can change or shut down Krabber. If we shut it down, we'll give notice on the site first.

No guarantees

Krabber is a hobby project, provided as it is, without warranties. It may go down or lose data. To the extent the law allows, the people who run it aren't liable for damages from using it or from what other krabs post.

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be announced on the site before they apply.
